With our Green Shape label, we offer functional, environmentally-friendly products made from sustainable materials. They are manufactured under fair working conditions along the entire supply chain. The criteria for the label are strict and transparent. They are under constant review and cover the entire lifecycle of the product from design, through production, care and maintenance, to repair and the product’s end of life.

VAUDE consistently uses synthetic and/or plant-based materials for our vegan products. However, traces of animal-based components in dyes or adhesives cannot be completely ruled out.

This water- and dirt-repellent finish is applied to the outer fabric. This causes raindrops to roll off. VAUDE does not use fluorocarbons, so-called PFAS or PFC chemicals, which are suspected of being harmful to health. Regular re-treatment is necessary for lasting water and dirt repellency.

The product comes in a relaxed fit, meaning a loose fit.

The high-quality Ceplex Active membrane developed by VAUDE is waterproof, windproof and highly breathable. It keeps moisture out and warmth in. Your VAUDE product can withstand a water column of at least 10,000 millimeters (JIS L 1092 B). The membrane is made of polyurethane (PU), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or polyester (PES) and is 100 percent free of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). Ceplex Active is also used as a coating.

High quality polyester made from recycled PET bottles. Collect, clean, granulate and spin into high quality polyester yarn – that’s what’s involved in the recycling of PET bottles. In the manufacturing process, we can reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 50% while completely eliminating the use of new fossil fuels. This conserves resources and keeps our ecological footprint small.
